My Story

I found my love for entomology and taxidermy after my career as a mortician. My love for the macabre and the dead fascinated me enough to stay in the field. I pride myself on giving everything a beautiful life after death. We use perfectly imperfect specimens, so there is never any waste. Always made with love and care and whenever you purchase a piece you're helping support the conservation of these beautiful specimens for generations to come.

Ethics
All our specimens are ethically and sustainably sourced. Our butterflies and insects come from trusted sources. The objective of the conservation farms in the breed and release a portion of the species.
We set and pin all specimens by hand.

Satan Stole My Skin does not work with protected or endangered species.

Taxidermy
All my taxidermy pieces are sourced by me. On the rare occasion they are donated to me by locals , otherwise they are culled by us. These animals are pests and are culled in hopes to protect our native wildlife within Australia and keep our native animals safe.

Methods
There are different methods we use to preserve an animal.
This is can include, maceration, tanning of the hide, wet specimens treated with formaldehyde. If you have any questions about this please don't hesitate to contact us.
